Looks like another professional sporting league is going after DVRs and Placeshifting. When will these guys learn to stop clinging to TV blackouts in order to fill their stardiums. There has to be a better way to stay profitable, that doesn’t involve hurting your customers.

I spent most of the 4.5 day weekend away from my computer and e-mail. It was quite nice to not do any work for a few days. Ruthie’s Bat Mitzvah was on Saturday so that kept us pretty busy, but other than that it was a fairly relaxing weekend.
Unfortunately as soon as the long week ended, so did the relaxation. 5am alarms on Tuesday, a large pile of SCALE e-mails/bills, and then work hit me like a ton of bricks. Its amazing how much will pile up over a long weekend. Anyways, I think I’m mostly caught up. Just a few remaining scale-chairs e-mails to respond to before I’m caught up with the pending items from the weekend.
Between Comp time, working from home and half days it looks like I’ve got a 5 day weekend starting today. I’m still on call but as long as nothing catches fire, I should have a fairly slow weekend.
I’ve been wanting this feature since I first purchased my BlackBerry 8700 back in October. They enabled Google Maps with GPS on the BlackBerry. Unfortunately, it still looks like RIM is hobling the bluetooth and preventing tethering, contact sync, and file transfers.

This evening I installed Ubuntu Feisty Fawn on my MacBook Pro. Mostly to see how easy the install would be. As part of the process I downloaded BootCamp and found the following quote on the Apple download site.

Not that I disagree with Apple on this. Just thought it was amusing.
