I’ll post more details later but the following 4 speakers will be joining us at SCALE 2005 as well.
Charles Coble, Emic Networks‘ Channel Manager, will be speaking at the SCALE. Charles offers six years experience in business leadership and marketing within the open-source community. Prior to working at Emic Networks he was the Director of Channel Sales for Arkeia. Before Arkeia, he was project manager for Alternative Technology, Inc. in Carlsbad, CA, where he was instrumental in promoting and implementing open-source technology to the Mid West.
The topic for this talk will be: “When to Application Cluster”
See the SCALE site for more details.
This years Southern California Linux Expo is starting to shape up. The newest SCALE sponsors are IBM (returning for their 3rd year) and EMIC Networks.
So I called up Apple US to update them on my conversation with Apple Latin America. The guys I spoke with at Apple US Customer Service were VERY kind and understanding. Nothing like the guys at Apple Latin America. They kept appologizing for my experience with Apple Latin America and told me they’d do everything they could to get Apple Latin America in gear. Then again anything is better than Apple Latin America suggesting that I either a) go to all 20 apple service centers in Argentina and see if they have my part in stock or b) fly back to the states and get it fix there.
Anyways, Apple US told me they’d do their best to find out: where my new logic board is and when it is *scheduled* to arrive.
I dont think I’m asking for anything unreasonable. All I want is some type of idea on when I will have a working computer again and maybe access to some kind of a loaner if it’ll be weeks / months/ years.
